Atik 16HR Mono Camera - From Roger Warner
Hi Bern,
Just to thank you for all your support, from my early days of imaging with the Toucam Pro, Atik 2HS webcam, and for the past year, the Atik 16HR. This CCD camera has given me fantastic progress in my imaging, using this mono CCD is exciting in the way it captures those faint nebulae and brings them alive on your computer screen. Moving on to LRGB imaging with the Atik filter wheel has given the images an even more vibrant presentation. Also thanks for the many filters you gave advice on.
So with all this in mind, here is a small sample of what I have achieved this past year.
Cheers
Roger Warner
TopAtik 16IC Mono Camera - From Eddie Davies
Bern, It's a great CCD camera!
Here are a few images that I took
None of them have had darks, flats or bias frames.
Very easy to use software and it comes with drivers for Maxim DL and Astroart.

TopVenus image set taken with a mono Toucam - from Rick Schrantz
Hi Bernard,
I just had to email you to say how happy I have been with the ToUcam 840 mono conversion you did for me last year (including the raw flash). I can use the VRecord software to set the parameters and record an avi with the mono ToUcam just the same as my color ToUcam. I have been imaging Venus in ultraviolet light with a Schuler UV filter, and I just wanted to share with you some of the best images. These would have been impossible with a color ToUcam, and I was not willing to spend a large amount for a Lumenera camera. Best of all, I've been imaging Venus an hour before sunset, and not at 2:00 in the morning!
Thanks for the professional conversion and service. I expected a lot, but what I received exceeded my expectations.

Mono Webcam Kit - from Fabrice Morin
Hello Bernard,
I bought an "SPC900NC Mono Webcam Kit" from Modern Astronomy few months ago. I'm very pleased by the performance of this product. The raw mode really gives sharp images.
Here is an image taken with the camera at the prime focus of my 8' Meade LX90, in Rouen (France). This is a mosaic of 7 images, each image is a stack of 30 frames.
Regards
Fabrice Morin
TopMono Webcam Kit - from Fulvio Mete
Hi Bernard
As I promised, I'm sending you two shots of Sunspot group AR 0892 taken this morning by your Toucam III BW camera and a Takahashi FS 128 refractor in eyepiece projection of a 7,5 mm Ultima , an Intes Herschelprism ad a Baader continuum + ND 0.9 + Ircut filters resulting focal lenght of about 11.000 mm.The first, in colour, is a median of 200 frames stacked by Registax. The second, is a single frame in BW.

Watec 120N - from Bill Ward
I received this image from Bill Ward who was lucky enough to have spent some time at SALT (South African Large Telescope) last year.
Taken using the lens supplied with his Watec 120N camera kit, it shows the heart of our galaxy as it passed high overhead from his location.
Sub frames were recorded to digital video tape and apart from stacking received no processing!

Hi Bernard,
I am sure that you will be interested in the attached. This image shows just what the Watec is capable of. Remember that M51 could not be seen at all through the Meade but it was there on the laptop screen!

TopMintron 12V6 - from Phil Jaworek
17th April 2007
Just a quick note to say thanks and I got the camera yesterday safe and sound. Would you believe it, I managed to try it out under clear skies as well, what are the chances of that happening when getting new kit? I was wondering if the difference between the old camera and the new would be worth the upgrade and from what I saw last night it really was worth it. The new camera is far less noisy and almost no amp glow at all. I am really pleased with it so far especially with the C11, the detail in some of the DSOs was superb. I shall do a proper comparison soon and let you know how I get on.

Here you go Bern, just a few 12V6 shots from the other night and last night. I am impressed with this camera its so easy to get a half decent image straight out the box. I know these aren't really imaging cameras but hey you have to try dont you? I shall try some with dark and flats next time to improve on the images. These are 4 to 6 minutes of AVI stacked in Registax a little curves and levels in PS, no sharpening. They about the closest I can get to what you actually see on screen when the camera is slotted on the C11 with a 0.5 reducer. Pretty good eh:-)
